University choice was as much driven by music as academic goals

Marcus’ university choice was as much driven by music as academic goals. It is hard to describe in words but his Middle School (when we moved to MI in 2014) and High School experience was shaped by the band both in terms of social (friends - alternative to screen time!) and emotional (happiness, school motivation) and mentoring (band directors and specialized teachers both on and off the field).
